Service Description

Spark plugs do just as their name suggests -- they provide a small electrical spark in sync with the engine cycles to allow for precisely timed combustion of the fuel-air mixture in the combustion chambers. Spark plugs are a heavily used engine component -- they are performing every time the engine is running -- and build up carbon deposits and warp, ultimately impacting their effectiveness. A rough idle or sluggish acceleration is typically a sign of spark plugs that are long past their useful life, and they should be replaced well in advance of these symptoms occurring. We recommend spark plugs be changed at least every 60,000 miles on average. The service interval changes based on the materials used to make the spark plugs, and the manufacturer's recommendations for each engine type. Not sure if yours are due for a change?
